Angel of Hope Animal Rescue works with local cats and dogs from animal controls and shelters. All of our foster pets live in foster homes with families while they get ready for adoption. Prior to adoption, pets are spayed/neutered, up to date for their age on vaccines and cats are tested for feline leukemia, and dogs are tested for heart worm. We are a limited-intake all-volunteer organization that matches our foster pets with appropriate foster homes. At adoption we can help you determine if the pet is a good fit for your home and family. We will share their personalities and quirks with you to help you decide. We have an amazing group of foster parents who are committed to helping the tiniest kittens and puppies survive. These orphans require 24 hour round-the-clock care. These fosters have handled over 1000 bottle fed kittens and puppies. Our experience helps these little ones thrive.

Angel of Hope began helping cats and kittens in 2003. Ten years later we are rejuvenating it and adding puppies and dogs to the list of wonderful pets that find forever homes. Stop by our next adoption event and meet your new best friend!

Southwest Metro Animal Rescue and Adoption Society is a non-profit organization committed to the rescue of abandoned, abused and stray domestic animals.

We believe the animal-human bond is strengthened through education of the public on the humane treatment of animals, pet population control and support for animal protection laws.

We are an all-volunteer non-profit organization. We do not have any paid staff and receive no government funding. Our founding members have over 35 years combined experience in the animal rescue field. We have established federal tax-exempt status as a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization.

Southwest Metro Animal Rescue does not operate a shelter building, and is a volunteer foster home-based organization that hosts regular scheduled monthly Pet Adoption Days. Our procedure is to evaluate the animal, provide necessary medical care (including spay/neuter), place in a caring foster home, and finally find a suitable forever home for each pet. We rely on donations of food and supplies to care for the pets. We maintain a no-kill policy except in cases when euthanasia is deemed the only viable, reasonable and humane option.
